Navigating this as a survivor of abuse or institutional betrayal? Advocacy & Institutional Navigation may be the better starting point.

Five tracks, one method. Whether the subject is Claude, a court docket, a data broker, or a Mac that has been fighting you for six years, the session looks the same: your hands on the keyboard, my explanation next to it, and a written summary at the end so you are not relying on memory a week later.

I would rather teach a skill than rent it to you. A newsroom that can run its own records checks is faster and cheaper than one that outsources them. A person who can configure their own AI project does not need to book me again. The goal is that you stop needing me, and I say that out loud because it is the part most consultants leave off.

Learning AI Without Becoming Technical

The people who get the most out of this track are not beginners. They are experts, in medicine or law or design or research, who have been told for three years that software is about to replace them. That is a bad reason to avoid a tool and a very good reason to be careful with it.

The obstacle is almost never intelligence and almost never the software. Nobody sat down with them. So we sit down: your actual work, your actual files, one workflow that earns its place by the end of the session.

One of them is a medical illustrator in his late seventies. He had spent more than twenty years working in digital imaging before we ever spoke, and he had become skeptical of AI.

I had become skeptical of AI for a multitude of reasons… Through conversations with Apostolos, I began to open my eyes, so to speak, and then my ears… I am now an avid user of Claude. I’m using it in ways I never would have thought possible… His sensitivity to people who ask basic questions is remarkable. He listens patiently all the way to the end, no matter how long, repetitive, or elementary the question might be, and he responds to every level of competency without ever making someone feel behind.

— D.A.K., medical illustrator, late seventies

I also teach where it fails. Invented citations, confident agreement with things that are wrong, and categories of work it should never touch. In a market built on overpromising, the limits are the part worth paying for.

The Other Direction

The public record holds you, too. Your address, your relatives, your phone number, your prior addresses, your employer, your court history, assembled and resold by data brokers you have never heard of and never agreed to.

For most people that is a nuisance. For someone being pursued, it is a map. The self-audit and footprint reduction track exists for that person: we find what is exposed, and then we take it down, one broker and one account at a time. You learn the process, because the brokers repopulate and you will need to do it again without me.

What I Do Not Do

I teach. I do not do the work for you. I do not accept engagements that involve researching a third party on someone else’s behalf. If that is what you need, I am the wrong person, and I will say so on the intro call rather than waste your time.

The reason for the boundary is not only regulatory. The techniques that let a journalist verify a source are the same techniques that let an abuser find someone who moved. I screen every engagement for that, and I decline work whose purpose I cannot establish. A person asking to be taught how to locate someone specific is not a training client, and I say no.

Engagement Models

Per session for individual coaching, in any track. Day rate for organizational workshops. Fixed scope for curriculum development. Reduced rates for anyone the first three would price out, asked for and given without paperwork.

Professionals with deep expertise in their own field and no technical background, including people who are skeptical of AI. Attorneys, journalists, and advocacy staff who want research capacity in house rather than on retainer. Survivors, seniors, and veterans who need to know what the open internet says about them.

Free, and open to anyone. We work out what you want to learn, who needs to learn it, and whether a course is the right answer. If it is not, I say so.

Claude & AI

For professionals with twenty years in their own field and no interest in becoming technical. Skeptics especially. We configure a project with your real context in it, build one workflow you run the next morning, and set up a habit for checking what it hands back. Not prompt engineering, not a tools demo, not an ethics seminar.

Public Records & Research Method

For attorneys, journalists, and nonprofit or advocacy staff who want the skill in house. Where records actually live, how to search them, how to confirm what you found is real, and how to document sourcing so the work survives someone checking it.

Digital Self-Defense

For people at elevated risk. A guided self-audit where you run the searches on yourself and watch your own footprint surface, then broker opt-outs and account hardening. Your hands stay on the keyboard, because the brokers repopulate and you will need to do this again without me.

macOS & Apple Fundamentals

For people who inherited a machine they did not choose, or who have been working around the same problem for years. Files, backup, passwords, sharing, and the handful of settings that actually matter. Nothing you did not ask about.

Document & Media Literacy

For everyone. How AI fabrication is made, what metadata does and does not prove, and how to look at a document or a recording and reason about whether it is what it claims to be.

Team Workshops

Half-day and full-day sessions in any track, delivered to your people, in your context. Legal teams, newsrooms, and advocacy organizations.

Written Curriculum

Reference material your team keeps and teaches from after I leave. The point is that you stop needing me.

Organizational training funds the reduced rates. A newsroom or a law firm paying a workshop rate is what makes it possible to sit with a survivor at fifty dollars an hour and walk her through taking her own address off the internet. We set every figure together before anything begins.

Intro Call Free (30 min)

No commitment. We work out whether a course is the right fit, and if it is not, I say so.

First Session $150 · $75 reduced

Ninety minutes, in any track, including the written summary. The reduced rate works out to fifty dollars an hour, the same floor that holds everywhere else in this practice.

Follow-Up Session $125 · $60 reduced

One hour. Most people want three to five sessions, paced to them, not a standing engagement.

Four Sessions, Prepaid $450 · $220 reduced

Booked together and used at your pace. Cheaper than four singles, and it is how most of the AI coaching actually runs.

Organizational Workshops $1,200 half-day / $2,000 full day

Flat fee, groups delivered live. For a team of eight, a half-day is $150 a person for a skill they keep.

Curriculum Development Fixed scope, from $2,500

Written reference material built for your team's specific work, priced as a fixed-scope project.
