Privacy

This page is written for someone who has good reason to be careful. Every claim here is verifiable. Open your browser's network tab and check.

I built this site to be safe to read. If you are being monitored, you already know that trust has to be earned and verified, not promised. So this page does not ask you to take my word for anything. It tells you exactly what this site does, and gives you a way to confirm it yourself.

What this site does not do

This site does not track you. There are no analytics. No cookies. No trackers. No advertising technology. No fingerprinting. Nothing on this site tries to identify you or follow you from page to page.

The site itself does not log your visit. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which serves the files. Like any web host, GitHub’s servers can see requests reach them. I do not add any layer of tracking on top of that, and I receive no record of who visited.

Verify it yourself

You do not have to believe me. Open your browser’s developer tools and go to the Network tab. Reload any page. You will see what the page loads and where each request goes.

Every font, every icon, every script on this site is served from this site. Nothing calls out to Google Fonts. Nothing calls a content delivery network. Nothing loads from a third party. The one exception is described below, and you will see it in the network tab too.

The one exception: newsletter signup

Some pages, the ones with the contact call-to-action, include a newsletter signup box. That box is an embedded frame from Substack (ouroborosconsult.substack.com). When that frame loads, Substack can see your IP address, the same way any website you open can see it.

I am telling you this plainly because you deserve to know before it happens. If seeing that request matters to your safety, you now know which pages carry it and what it does.

The contact form

The intake and contact form is processed by Formspree (formspree.io). When you submit the form, your answers go to Formspree, and Formspree forwards them to my email.

Only what you type is collected. Nothing is gathered silently. There is no hidden field capturing anything about you. If you do not fill in the form and send it, nothing is sent.

The quick-exit button

The quick-exit button clears this site’s session and local storage and sends you away fast. Use it whenever you need to.

Here is the honest limit. No button on any website can erase your browser history. No button can defeat monitoring software installed on your device. If someone controls your device, they may be able to see where you go regardless of what any site does.

If you have reason to worry about that, the safer path is a private or incognito window, or a device your abuser cannot reach. A library computer or a trusted friend’s phone can be safer than your own.

What happens to what you share

Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared. I do not hand your information to anyone.

What you tell me stays confidential. I use it only to respond to you. That is the whole purpose, and the whole extent, of what I do with it.

If you have a question about any of this, or you want something removed, reach out and I will handle it directly.

Reach out and we can find a time to talk through what you need.
